When we heard that Tara's school would be holding a Christmas market in the schoolyard on December 20, 2023,
we decided to take part. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to reach out to the young people and inform
them about our charitable goals. We are convinced that our young people can make a difference if they are convinced
of a cause. Through this direct action, young people can not only share their beliefs, but also encourage others
to get involved and make a positive contribution.
Now we were faced with the question of what to offer at the market. We decided on Persian soup, homemade cakes
and handicrafts made by village women in southern Iran. Many people first asked us what the soup was made of.
After our explanations, they were skeptical at first, but after tasting it, they were thrilled.
Our soup then became a big hit.
Many also asked us about our activities and why we talk about buying drinking water.
Tara explained to her classmates: Inside like this: for us, it's a routine to wake up in the morning,
turn on the tap and get a glass of water. A very normal act, isn't it? But what if, instead of clear,
refreshing water, only a sad trickle flowed from the tap or you had to quench your thirst with rainwater
from a pit instead of drinking water? What if the daily ritual of collecting water became a struggle for
survival for your family? For many people around the world, this reality is not just a mental game, but a tough,
daily struggle. And this is exactly where our association is helping underprivileged people in Persia.
Some students asked us for flyers and information about our Instagram page so that they can follow our activities.
Some even paid more than the set price for our handicrafts, which were for sale, to support us realize our charitable
projects.
It was a wonderful day! Not only were we able to collect donations, but we were also able to explain the aims of the
association directly in conversation and emphasize to other young people and interested people how important it is to
support people in need.
Finally, we would like to thank Tara's lovely teacher, Ms. Gabriela Buzuk, for always supporting us, no matter how or where.
