Village Laki One completed project that we are particularly proud of is the drinking water supply for the village of "Laki". Before this project began, the village faced challenges due to insufficient water supply and the inhabitants had to rely on local rivers, hand wells, canals and springs. Despite the difficulties, the inhabitants did not want to emigrate, as their ancestors had also lived here. In view of their strong desire to stay in their village, we decided to start the ”drinking water supply” project. We installed three tanks, each with a capacity of 3000 liters, to ensure the water supply. These tanks now provide clean drinking water to nearly 300 people in this village. The men's main job is fishing, while the women take care of the children and make handmade jewelry such as necklaces and bracelets. Unfortunately, they are still in a difficult financial situation, which is why they continue to rely on our support to buy drinking water. For this reason, we pay almost 16 euro every week for a total of 9.000 liters of water for approx. 300 people in this village. This long-term project needs your support.
